GIANNA: TEACHER ASSISTANT ACTIVITIES CLASSES 4TH- 5TH

The 4th and 5th classes measured using inches and feet... no not actual feet.

 

Preparing to measure the cycle path.

The starting point.

Each student measured 27 meters to get to 1 km.

WE MADE IT!

Now we want to measure 1 mile. 

Students learned that 1 mile is bigger than 1 km. They counted each meter together to reach both points on the cycle path. 

GIANNA: TEACHER ASSISTANT'S WELCOME AND ACTIVITIES CLASSES 1-2-3

This is our teacher assistant, Gianna. She is from New Jersey in the USA. 

We were waiting for her and we welcomed her by decorating our school. 

She brought things from America to introduce herself. 

First and Second classes learned about animals, colors, and actions. 

We read and acted out the book, "From Head to Toe". 

The third class counted money using dollars and cents.

Students even practiced shopping in an "American Shop".

26 SETTEMBRE: GIORNATA EUROPEA DELLE LINGUE

Su iniziativa del Consiglio d’Europa di Strasburgo, la Giornata Europea delle Lingue si celebra il 26 settembre di ogni anno a partire dal 2001. Il Consiglio d’Europa, con 47 stati membri, rappresenta 800 milioni di europei che sono incoraggiati a imparare più lingue, ad ogni età, dentro e soprattutto fuori dalla scuola. Il pluralismo linguistico è la chiave per la riuscita di una vera dimensione interculturale e l’elemento per preservare il ricco patrimonio culturale del nostro continente. Ci sono circa 225 lingue indigene in Europa – il 3% delle lingue mondiali. 

In tale giornata accoglieremo a Cercenasco la nuova Teacher Assistant Gianna
